Each week at Harvest, people just like you give their time to serve. Whether it’s helping kids learn about Jesus on their level at Kid City, welcoming first-time guests and attenders, or serving in one of the areas of the worship, every volunteer is making a difference. We believe that through serving, you will be able to discover your true calling, find a life of joy, and see God use your life.
MUSIC MINISTRY
The Music Ministry teams lead the church in musical worship. Our teams consist of the choir, orchestra, special music, and worship ensemble. If you play an instrument, sing, or want to learn to do either of these, we would love to have you join us for a rehearsal to try it out. If you are unable to participate on a weekly basis, we almost always have special services for Easter and Christmas where you can get involved seasonally.
NURSERY
We have the unique opportunity to love families by caring for who they love most—their children. In this ministry, we have a team of women who provide a safe, friendly, caring, and fun environment as we care for infants and toddlers during service times. This ministry is a wonderful way to get to know other women in the church while serving once a month during a service.
KID CITY
At Kid City, we believe that even young children can become mature followers of Christ. By teaching kids to know, love, and obey the Lord at a young age, we are equipping them to resist the snares of this world and to live blessed lives that bring glory to God. Volunteers at Kid City unite as a team to help children establish their faith and grow in Christ. Both monthly and weekly opportunities for service can be found with our guest center, Sunday school classes, and junior church program.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
People welcoming people. From greeter to usher, on the First Impressions Teams you have the special opportunity to make people feel welcome each and every week. You help newcomers feel comfortable, you make the regulars feel at home, and you help create a friendly atmosphere where anyone can walk in and immediately sense God’s love at work. The opportunities are door greeter, auditorium greeter, welcome desk worker, and usher. If you are unable to serve weekly or monthly, we greatly appreciate those who can help for special events.
AUDIO/VISUAL/LIVESTREAM
Technology has given us the unique opportunity to reach those who are unable to attend in person. Our teams for sound, livestream, and visual aid always welcome extra hands to help. If you have proficiencies in other areas as well such as photography, videography, web design, etc., we’d love to have you join our team!
BIBLE TEACHER
If you have reached a moderate level of spiritual maturity and enjoy transferring the truth of God’s Word to others, we want to provide opportunities for you to do this. Leading an adult group, teaching kids in Sunday or junior church, mentoring someone else in our discipleship program, and preaching in nursing homes are just a few examples of the opportunities we have available.
NURSING HOMES
One Sunday a month, a ministry team visits the local nursing home to hold a church service. During each visit, this group will provide a worshipful service, as well as provide prayer and fellowship to the residents.
INTRO TO HARVEST
The Intro to Harvest Team contributes directly to our mission at Harvest Baptist Church, and it is not uncommon for people who attend Intro to Harvest to come to faith or take next steps of faith like baptism or serving on a ministry team. These classes provide a space for the pastors to get to know newcomers and challenge them to grow in their Christian walk. When you become a part of the Intro to Harvest team, you will be helping with refreshments and childcare, and making our visitors feel welcome in the class.
PRAYER
The church Prayer Team is a group of people who are passionate about praying with and for others. We have the privilege to pray for those around us, and by doing so, we believe that our prayers will lead to souls being saved, lives being changed, and our own Christian growth. We believe that God will not only hear our prayers, but we expect God to work in a great way through this ministry! If you are interested in being a part of Harvest’s prayer team, we would love to have you join us!

God has blessed our church with beautiful grounds and facilities. There is always plenty to do! This team tackles mowing the lawn, setting up and tearing down chairs and tables, cleaning, painting, performing repairs and maintenance, organizing storage spaces, and much more. We appreciate the people who make our campus a welcoming and comfortable environment for people to hear the Word of God and to fellowship with others. If you have skill sets in the various areas of construction, plumbing, general handyman services, painting, electrical, etc., consider using them here at Harvest.
AWANA
Our Wednesday evening AWANA Bible Club provides a fun environment where children can hear the Gospel, learn Scriptures, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Our volunteers enjoy fellowship with each other and the children as they serve as check-in volunteers, game time leaders, teachers, and classroom assistants. AWANA is an awesome opportunity to impart the truth of Scripture to the next generation and to prepare them to impact the world for Christ!

COMPASSION MINISTRY
The Compassion Ministry is designed to be an encouragement to those recovering from recent hospital stays or prolonged illness by providing meals, thus helping them to focus their attention on healing and recovery. These important team members prepare a meal a few times throughout the year when needed. Women (and men!), if you love to cook or if hospitality is your gift, this is the perfect ministry for you, and I promise you will be (and receive) an incredible blessing!

MERCY MINISTRY
The Mercy Team, comprised primarily of committed healthcare professionals, is passionate about lovingly engaging, consistently praying for, and strategically providing assistance to those in our church body and the surrounding communities with their healthcare needs. The team’s efforts in making visits, facilitating health education, resourcing, and offering screenings will provide encouragement and help to the vulnerable as well as reflect the tender care of Jesus.
