Pastoral Staff

Kurt W. Skelly
Senior Pastor

Born in San Antonio, Texas, when his father was in the military, Pastor Skelly was reared in Connecticut, from which his family originated. At 16 years of age, Pastor trusted Christ as his personal Savior in Newington, Connecticut.

Pastor met his wife Wanda at Hyles-Anderson College where he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Masters degree in Pastoral Theology. A Masters of Divinity degree was
attained at Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor and Wanda moved to the New Kensington area in 1996 when he answered the call to pastor here at Harvest. The Lord continued to bless Harvest Baptist Church year by year, and in September of 2009 the church crossed the river to brand new facilities located in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania.

The Skellys have four children: Nathaniel, Joshua, Caleb, and Hannah. Pastor Skelly is a featured speaker at Bible Conferences, Revivals, Youth Conferences, and Teen Camps across the country and abroad. He is known for his energetic, substantive Bible preaching.

Charlie G. Rousey
Assistant Pastor
Administrator, Harv
est Baptist Academy

Pastor Rousey was born and reared in Laurel, Mississippi, and trusted Christ as his personal Savior on March 13, 1981.

The Lord called Pastor Rousey to attend Hyles-Anderson College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Theology. There he also met his wife Mindy. The Rouseys have three daughters: Annagail, Autumn, and Audrey.

The Rousey family has been at Harvest since August of 2001, and they have made a great impact on our church and academy. Pastor Rousey serves as our Academy Administrator and additionally teaches classes at Harvest Baptist Academy.

Pastor Rousey also conducts an adult Sunday School class (the Cornerstone Class) which meets at 9:15 a.m. in room 300. Mindy offers piano lessons to Academy students. In addition, she also serves as our church's Choir pianist, one of our special music accompanists, and is our annual Couples Conference Coordinator.

Pastor Rousey's philosophy of ministry is that "God has established the local church to fulfill His Great Commission of preaching the Gospel, baptizing, and discipling converts. God has provided a pastor to lead the church and has equipped each member with a specific spiritual gift that is to be used for the edification of the church. The Bible is the final authority in all matters."

We are grateful for Pastor Rousey's commitment to our academy and praise the Lord for his faithfulness.

R. Dennis Smith
Assistant Pastor

Born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, Pastor Smith trusted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1972.

Pastor Smith and his wife Kathy, who have been attending Harvest since 1990, have two grown children, Matthew and Alison, who are married and whose families are serving the Lord faithfully.

Kathy leads two Ladies Bible Studies which meet weekly on Thursday and Friday, and Pastor Smith teaches a Sunday School class ministering to the Deaf at 9:15 a.m. in Room 207.

Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Pastor Smith worked as an engineer for many years at Westinghouse. Feeling the Lord calling him into full-time Christian service, he recently received his Master of Divinity degree at Baptist Bible Seminary.

Pastor Smith believes that Christian leadership means serving others (Matthew 23:10-11; Luke 22:25-26; and 1 Peter 5:1-3). We are delighted to have him on our staff. He truly is a faithful servant of God.

Timothy L. Delaney
Youth Pastor

Pastor Tim Delaney came to Harvest in 2007 after graduating from Shawnee Baptist College with a degree in Pastoral Theology.

In addition to being our our church's Youth Pastor and administrating our "Silent Servants" ministry, Bro. Delaney teaches classes at Harvest Baptist Academy. His extra-curricular responsibilities include serving as Harvest Baptist Academy's High School Basketball Coach as well as serving as the Valley High School Bible Club's Sponsor.

Bro. Delaney and his wife, Danielle, have a son, Maddox, who was born on March 27, 2010. We praise God for the Delaneys and for their commitment to the Teen Ministry!
