About Pastor Rousey
Charlie Rousey was saved at the age of 11. He enlisted in a special program in the military and planned to go to Ole Miss once he got out of the Navy. But God had other plans. While in the Navy, he did a lot of soul searching, and while he was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base he was invited to go to a Baptist church in Indiana. This church had an outreach program to the sailors there. It was during this time that he felt called to the ministry and decided to attend Hyles-Anderson College.
Pastor Rousey was heavily involved in various ministries while in college where he also met his wife, Mindy. They were married in July of 1993 and then he graduated in 1994. Charlie was called to work at a church/school in Adrian, Michigan, and served there for two years. In 2001, God led Charlie and Mindy and their two girls to Pennsylvania where they began serving at Harvest. Their third daughter was born two years later.

About Pastor Smith
Dennis Smith has been a member of our pastoral staff since 2005. His primary areas of responsibility include hospital and in-home visitation, biblical counseling, and teaching.
Pastor Smith was born on March 1, 1947, in Natrona Heights and spent his early childhood living in Natrona. His family moved to the Buffalo Township area when he was in elementary school. Not long after graduating from Freeport High School in 1965, he enlisted in the United States Army and completed airborne training. Dennis served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 and was discharged in 1969. He married his wife, Kathy, in 1970 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Pastor Smith came to faith in Christ in 1971 and served his local church as a layman in several capacities over the years while working in the engineering field.
Dennis and Kathy came to Harvest Baptist Church in 1990 where he soon began serving as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. In the summer of 2001, they sensed the call by God to full-time ministry, and that fall he enrolled in the master’s of divinity program at what was then Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA. He completed that degree in 2006. Prior to graduation, Pastor Smith was able to serve a required one-year internship on staff here at Harvest. If pressed to give a personal philosophy of ministry, he would say, “We serve God by serving others.”

About Brian Fajbik
Brian Fajbik was born on December 8, 1981, to Curt and Annette Fajbik. He lived in Tarentum most of his life, helping his grandfather with odd jobs. Brian was introduced to his future wife, Stacy, by one of her coworkers, whose husband also worked with Brian. After spending some time getting to know each other, Stacy led Brian to the Lord on New Year’s Day, 2006.
