Shawnee Baptist Youth Conference: August 2 - 6, 2010
Youth Conference is always an important event in the lives of the teens at Harvest Baptist Church. This year our teenagers will be traveling to Shawnee Baptist Church's annual Youth Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. At that time they will hear preaching from some of the most exciting and challenging youth speakers in the country.

The teens will be leaving the church on Sunday afternoon, August 1, at 2:00 p.m., stopping for evening service along the way, and arriving Sunday evening in Louisville. Please pray for traveling mercies as well as for the decisions that our teenagers will be making at the conference. May God bless and revive each and every one who attends!
 
Back to School

The HBA staff is anticipating the new school year.
There are plenty of exciting things planned!

 Harvest Baptist Academy will be conducting its annual Parent/Teacher Orientation here at the church on Friday,
August 27, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is mandatory for at least one parent to attend. Important information will be communicated about new policies and procedures for the new school year.

Parents, if you are still shopping for school supplies, please note that all of the school supplies lists (by grade) may be found here on the website. On the home page, click "Church Ministries," then "Academy," and finally the "Academy Forms & Documentation" tab.

Many other items are included under the Academy Forms & Documentation page for your convenience, including the Student Handbook and School Calendar.

The first day of the 2010 - 2011 school year is Monday, August 30.
 
Teen Takeover Service: Sunday, August 29, 2010
Our teen department conducts a Teen Takeover Service quarterly (during the months which have five Sundays). Our next Teen Takeover service will be held on Sunday, August 29, at 6:00 p.m.

The teenagers will conduct every facet of the service including reading the announcements, leading the congregational singing, playing the offertory, performing special music, and preaching the message.

Don't miss this exciting service: I guarantee you will be challenged and encouraged by our teens!
